Congressional Priorities

Most candidates focus their campaign on their agenda. But I believe authentic leadership requires listening. I don’t want to simply present a list of priorities. I want to work with you to build an agenda that reflects our shared values and the future we want for North Carolina’s 14th District.

I know what’s important to me: affordable health care for every family, real pathways to economic mobility, and access to equitable, high-quality education in every community.

Health Care: Making Quality Care Affordable and Accessible for Every Family

Too many families in NC-14 are one illness away from financial crisis. I’m committed to expanding affordable health care options, lowering prescription drug costs, protecting reproductive freedom, and strengthening mental health resources. That also means protecting rural hospitals that serve as lifelines in our communities and ensuring strong federal oversight of the FDA and the Department of Health and Human Services so that safety, transparency, and accountability are never compromised. Health care is not a privilege. It is a necessity, and our policies must reflect that.

Economic Mobility: Building Pathways to Prosperity, Not Barriers to Success

Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, not just survive. I will fight for policies that lower prices, increase access to capital for small business owners, expand workforce development, and support working families with childcare and paid leave. Our economy thrives when everyday people can afford to buy the goods and services that keep businesses strong and our communities growing. Economic mobility should be a reality for every North Carolinian, no matter their ZIP code.

Education: Ensuring Equitable, High-Quality Education From Early Childhood Through College

A child’s future should not be determined by their school district’s tax base. I will advocate for robust public school funding, equitable resources for teachers and students, access to early childhood education, and affordable pathways to college and career training. A representative democracy thrives when our citizens are educated, equipped with strong critical-thinking skills, and able to make informed decisions about their future. When we invest in education, we strengthen our communities, our economy, and our democracy itself.

But I also want to hear from you.

What issues matter most in your daily life? What challenges are you facing? What opportunities do you want to see created for your family, your business, and your neighborhood?

Your voice will shape this campaign.

Your concerns will guide my priorities. Together, we can build a vision that truly represents the people, not the powerful, and deliver the kind of leadership that listens first, learns continually, and leads with integrity in Congress.
